My name is Rizwanullah Dost and I was born in Kabul Afghanistan on the 15 December 1998. I am 18 years of age and a first year student at Manchester Metroplitan University.. When not busy studying, I like to play games on my playstation 3 & 4 especially the online version which I enjoy alot, as I can socialize with my friends whilst playing games with them. I also like to go out to the city with my friends especially the Salford Quays. I also enjoy watching movies and I am big fan of action and comedy movies. However since enrolling at university, I haven't had alot of time to spend on my hobbies due to the workload and I am always trying to learn new skills that will help me in university
I chose Computer Science because from a young age i have been using computers and have always been facinated by how a computer works and the logics behind it. Having used technology from a young age also impacted my decision on choosing computer science because i enjoyed using a computer everytime. further down the line when I was in secondary school I realised that I like problem solving. After doing my GCSEs, I attended college where i was doing a Level 3 BTEC Diploma in IT which aided my decision that I wanted to do computer science since Computer Science involves alot problem solving and during my college course i did some basic programming which i enjoyed anf this is why I chose computer science.
I didn't choose a specific course like software engineeering because computer science has a variety of units which will help me decide the career I want to go in to and because computer science is more fun compared to specific courses
